Anthony D’Angelo, M.D. FACS
Dr. D’Angelo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from New York University College of Arts and Sciences in 1986. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine in 1990 from New York University School of Medicine, and completed his Department of Surgery residency in 1995 at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his Vascular fellowship in 1997 at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. D’Angelo has been practicing in Fort Myers since 1997 as a Vascular and General Surgeon and joined Surgical Specialists of Southwest Florida in 2005. He specializes in endovascular (minimally invasive vascular) surgery but also performs open vascular procedures when needed. He also specializes in the treatment of varicose veins. He is currently board certified in both General and Vascular Surgery with the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. D’Angelo is a proud member of the Lee County Medical Society. He has authored/co-authored several publications covering various surgical techniques and their effectiveness. Dr. D’Angelo resides in Ft. Myers with his wife Elena.
