Ajay Kalra, M.D. FACS
Dr. Kalra joined the practice of Surgical Specialists of SW Florida in 2002 as a General and Vascular Surgeon. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City thru an accelerated 6-year medical program. He completed his general surgery residency in 1999 at the University of Missouri Health Sciences Center. From 1999 thru 2002 Dr. Kalra was a Vascular Surgery Endovascular Research Fellow, and Clinical Vascular Fellow at the University of Missouri Health Sciences Center. At Surgical Specialists of SW Florida, Dr. Kalra specializes in endovascular, vascular, and general surgery, with an emphasis on Peripheral Arterial Disease and Carotid Stenting. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Vascular Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Kalra has written several publications and presentations covering vascular/endovascular surgery and disease treatments. He has been asked to speak as an educator to vascular surgeons throughout the country on advanced endovascular procedures.
Dr. Kalra is a proud member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. He is also a member of The American College of Surgeons, Florida Medical Association, and the Lee County Medical Society.
